BDO was fkn HOT.....the weather, the bands, the people and prices for slushies but it was also fkn AWESOME....loved Kasabian...got into the mosh pit up near the stage and the place was jumping....not enough water to keep us all cool....poor Tom, he was HOT, I mean fkn hot, he was about to strip to his singlet and thought better of it...probably thought he would get 3rd degree burns on his lovely skin and I thought at one stage he was gonna stay down on the floor and sing the rest of the set out...felt sorry for them in the heat.....and we were roasting but loving it all the way...top act.
The Decemberists were Mighty and I was glad I went over to the green stage to see them as well as JET..whoohoooh....I would have liked to hear a lot more of their songs but timing is the pitts in these events..no encores unless like MUSE your the last act of the night!. Should have stayed for GRINSPOON but decided to catch Powderfinger...so it was a back and forth kinda day. Wanted to catch Goons of Doom....If someone saw them, please post a review....and I never even got near Simeon Mobile Disco...grrr!!!!
Muse was fkn FANTASTIC...the noise these guys can create with just the three of them is utterly amaing...thoroughly enjoyed their performance and was gonna go and see Groove Amada after them but thought nothing could top off Muse so went home instead. Sorry to those who are fans of Groove Amada, I probably missed something there but I was stuffed...heat caught up with me!
Lilly was Great, so to was Powderfinger and Dizzee got the crowd dancing, until some clown through something at him...so Dizzee did the only thing to do...yep he just walked right off stage....good on him....Its dickheads like "the chucker" that ruin great events for everyone else.
Now apart from the spew, which I copped as well as alcohol sloshed all over me and everyone smelling like urine and sweat I had a bloody good day...cant wait for next year..Bring it on....but can we have some rain to cool us all off, just intermittent shows would be great!
P.S I would love to see coin operated showers, so in the event that you get covered in someone else's gunk, it would be nice to be able to refresh...just a thought.....Do you have a dollar?...lol!
