Saw the Galvatrons and Sherlock's Daughter last night at Spectrum... Sherlock's Daughter were cool Bjorky folk stuff. Galvatrons were all Van Halen 80s rock future synth stuff... not sure they live up to the hype but they're a damn fun band to watch. No pics, though - anyone got any?

Hot Damn again. Gingers and Skybombers. Again, really good, solid rock... but nobody was dancing. Lame, Sydney. Quite lame

Loundon Waingright III at the Basement. his daughter Lucy is no Martha or Rufus but Loudoun brought the louche Jack Nicholson spirit with charming songs about drinking, smoking, and begging underage groupies to come up to hotel rooms. highlights were songs making fun of his kids... and while he's a true talent for $70 i kinda wish i'd seen Rufus

Some random band called Girls vs Ghost.
Coz I live so far away from most places where good gigs are played, the last one before that was My Chemical Romance, supported by The Getaway Plan (seeing them in a few months) and Circa Survive

Freaking awesome concert that one was.

Saw so many amazing gigs lately. Wedensday saw Abbe May at Spectrum - total crazy Perth blues rock. like real American style blues. fuckin awesome. Peregrine and Nic Dalton were good too supporting - sydney rock at its finest

last sunday i saw Kill Devil Hills, The Maladies and The Maple Trail at the Annandale. Kill Devil Hills were INCREDIBLE alt-country. they did this thing where they unplugged their instruments and got around a microphone and just gave me chills. Maladies were like country-punk - so awsome! Maple Trail were architecture in helsinki before they got all dance electro

week before that i saw Hell City Glamours on Friday at spectrum with Run! Hide!. total honest sydney rock

i saw Mercy Arms last week for their residency. they were pretty good. I kind of thought that sincve they've been in hiding for a while working on the new album that they might ahve been a bit more special than the last time I saw them, but they weren't really. still good though. supports were okay. Mission Control were like a spacey indie beat thing. some other group at the beginning called Savanah or somethign were okay, they were trying their best to do a birthday party thing but were a bit young and a bit preppy to pull it off.

Dj Shadow at Luna park Big Top, fucking amazing set absolutly killed it. The crowd was wild and out of control, that added to the insane atmosphere that had some how had made its way to the venue. Brilliant Dj, but not your ordinary Dj, no sneaky sound system remixes or any of the crap 80's remix's with a bit of spice girls thrown in so the 90's kids can sing along with lyrics they know. Dj Shadow remixed heavy metal, electronic, dance, trance and even guiligans island theme song to hype madness even more.

10/10 absolutly rate him.
Would buy a ticket to see him again without a thought in my mind. Completely recommend for a good night
