Description:

A festival of improvised, experimental or just plain weird music. For people who don't "do" Easter. The Sounds UnSound Festival is a one-day event held on April 2nd 2010 focusing on the experimental, improvised, noise, and left-field musical fringe of Sydney and beyond.

Curated by Forenzics’ Matthew Syres and Dirk Kruithof, and presented by Cadence Commotions, 12 unique acts will be appearing throughout the festival.

Artists playing on the day are Japanese noise maestro Defektro, improvising experimentalists Forenzics, Chippendale improv group The nHOMEas, local circuit-benders Toydeath, the infamous broken glass vocalist Justice Yeldham, audio-visualists Infinite Decimals, bass/drum duo The BZNZZ, the ramshackle Prehistoric Fuckin' Moron(s), the computerised Scissor Lock, ambient guitar of The Not Too Distant Future and the guitar and sax wrongness of Baad Jazz.

The event promises to be filled with sounds, surprises, experimentations, and a collaborative free-for-all performance entitled The Sounds UnSound Trainwreck taking place at the end of the night and featuring whoever we can fit on the stage, improvising together for the first time.
