Mordialloc by the Bay Fine Food, Wine and Music Festival returns to Beach Road, Mordialloc on 13 & 14 March 2010.
Proudly presented by Kingston Council & its principal sponsor Brighton Hyundai.
Featuring non-stop Jazz, Blues, Latin and Swing, Master Chef cooking demonstrations, gourmet food and wines, free Salsa and Swing dance lessons, rides, children’s activities and more.
$2 gold coin donation entry.
The main Beach Road Jazz & Blues Stage will feature some of Australia’s best artists including Mark Seymour, Renee Geyer, Steve Sedergreen, Blue Shaddy, Andrea Marr, Blow it out your Brass, Buddy Knox Blues Band, Ella Thompson, Katt Beames, Christina Crofts, The The Continental Blues Party and Ron Tabuteau’s Chickenhead.
A highlight of the festival will be the extraordinary talents of international blues artists Stan and Dixie Street from Clarksdale, Mississippi. Stan, who has toured the Canadian blues festival circuit as well as blues festivals and honkytonks of Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi and Georgia, is renowned for his passion and ability to put the music in his head and the vision of his travels onto canvas.
Mordialloc by the Bay’s Master Chefs marquee is also always a favourite at the festival with well known chefs demonstrating their culinary skills and secrets in the kitchen.
A new addition to the festival this year will be ‘Lens Mist’, a visual art exhibition showcasing innovation in Victorian seascape photography particular to Port Phillip Bay and proudly presented by Kingston Arts Centre. The exhibition encourages originality, creativity, imagination and vision with the Kingston Visual Arts Committee awarding a first prize of $2000 and second prize of $1000.
Mordialloc by the Bay Fine Food Wine and Music Festival is a Waste Wise, dog free and no BYO event.
