The line-up for the annual Newtown Festival has just been announced.
This epic community music Festival Is presented by the Newtown Neighbourhood Centre NNC and will be held on Sunday 8 November from 9:30am until 5:30pm in Camperdown Memorial Rest Park.
Bands include: Hermitude, Kingfisha; Dead Letter Chorus; Jill Barber; The Barons of Tang; Parades; Dimity Claire and the Bleeding Hearts; The Domestics ; The Crayon Fields; Deep Sea Arcade; Seekae; Ships Piano; ;Fisherking ; Chase the Sun; Ghoul; KYU; Greenlight.
The VOCAL LOCAL VILLAGE Stage is run on 100% solar energy and features :

Other festival highlights include The Writers Tent, The Vocal Local Village, Newtown Dog Show, Kids Zone, Giant Clothes Swap Party, Eco-workshops, over 280 market stalls, 2 licensed bards and more..
The usual pilgrimage of over 80,000 people throughout the day are expected to don their spring threads to kick back in the park to enjoy free entertainment from bands who span most musical genres including funk, rock, indie, garage, jazz, tango, grindcore, dutch pop, folk, shoegaze, reggae, electronica, hip hop, pop, roots and a whole lot more.
