Description:
It’s bigger. It’s better. It’s back. Canberra’s grandest licensed all ages event returns for its sophomore year, with enough exciting artists and extra attractions to prove that lightning can indeed strike twice in the same place. More acts, more rides, more bars, more stalls, more attractions, more excitement. Returning to the opulent setting of Thoroughbred Park, Trackside 2008 features a broad selection of this sunburnt country’s best acts, from the ferocious live licks of The Living End to the moody synth-ridden splendours of Cut Copy, from the quick-lipped lyrics and dusty boom-bap beats of Bliss N Eso to the serene sway of The Panics. And the fun doesn’t stop with the 16+ acts on offer - you can enjoy grown men throwing each off portaloos with the PWA Wrestlers, slap your thighs red raw at the Comedy Stage, chill out to some celluoid delights at the Outdoor Cinema, or sample the flavours of the world at the International Food Fair. So lock up yer horses! Canberra’s Trackside Festival is set to stun.
