Description:

This June long weekend, the cream of indie and alternative rock bands from around Australia plus some special international guests, will converge on Sydney’s Luna Park for the annual Come Together. For the 5th time Sydney’s favourite boutique all ages rock festival is back under the Big Top and this year’s line up may well be the best to date.

Saturday’s line up stars the nation’s favourite alternative rockers Faker and, for the first time in Australia, direct from Louisville Kentucky, the sensational VHS or Beta. Returning to our shores are Irish band The Thrills plus British India, Dappled Cities, New Zealand natives Cut Off Your Hands, Canberra’s Young & Restless, Sparkadia, The Dirty Secrets plus 10 other acts that will undoubtedly give fans 12 hours of the best indie rock around.

Headlining Sunday’s bill is unquestionably one of Australia’s greatest live bands The Living End, who will give fans the first taste of their forthcoming new album, plus all their classics. They will be joined by Gyroscope, whose album debuted last week at number one, WA rockers Birds of Tokyo, South Australia’s The Hot Lies and Melbourne’s Mammal, who brought the house down at last year’s event. Rising stars Dead Letter Circus, The Getaway Plan, Children Collide, Trial Kennedy & a whole host of incredible talent will also be taking to the stage, completing a rock fuelled Sunday feast that simply cannot be missed.

Previous Come Together’s have seen many acts like Midnight Juggernauts, The Presets, Expatriate, The Grates and Wolf and Cub all play opening slots before they became household names. Josh Pyke played his first solo show at the second Come Together in 2005 and 2008 is set to be no different with countless ‘next big thing’ whispers surrounding Melbourne’s newest rock quartet Skybombers, Garage to V Winners; Little Red, local Sydney acts Lions at Your Door & The Vignettes, Melbourne’s own Number Station and The Galvatrons and hot new acts like Acid Eyeliner, Former Child Stars, I Heart Hiroshima & In Fiction.

With 38 of today’s coolest bands coming together under the Big Top for two days of non-stop music & free rides and all for the lowest ticket price around, Come Together is the only place to be this June long weekend.
