!!! is neither a punk band, nor a funk band, for that matter. They are both. And neither.

!!! (pronounced, for the uninitiated, by making three repetitive sounds, like ChkChkChk) is a band of size. The party-hearty eight members of !!! as well as another two ring-ins will be touring Australia to play their eclectic, infused, layered sound dance punk, indie rock, funk and almost tribal percussion tunes. The band is one of the most talented, visceral and downright skewed bands on the planet – on this tour they will be a 20 legged groove juggernaught of indie/dance mayhem! !!!fuse the groove-oriented style of James Brown's backing band with the edginess of Gang of Four and the Contortions and featuring an expansive percussive presence.

The !!! symbol was chosen, rather than a conventional band name, because it reflects the excitement shared by the band members, mixed with an intense desire to shake things up. They have toured the U.S. repeatedly, amassing a sizeable following thanks to their cathartic live shows. The years spent train-hopping, hitch-hiking and touring DIY style have forged a desire to take !!! everywhere, fast.
