Writing a Novel' is an intensive, practical course for writers who are ready to make the leap into creating a full-length work of fiction. For six months from April 2012, students attend weekly evening workshops and six full-day Saturday sessions designed to develop novel writing skills from conception of an idea through to a complete first draft. Most classes will be led by course director and novelist Sophie Cunningham, who has 25 years experience in publishing. There are also seminars with well-known writers Chris Womersley, Carrie Tiffany and Shane Maloney, Text editor Mandy Brett, and agent Jenny Darling. The application process is selective and the deadline for applications is 28 March 2012.
