You can take a little stroll over the bridge to enjoy coffee and wine and cakes from Vivaldi’s great menu; while we give you the best selections of the fabulous George Gershwin. You’ll tap your toes to “I Got Rhythm”; you’ll love the glorious tunes from “Porgy & Bess”; and you’ll be transported to the bustle of New York and Broadway in the roaring 20s with “Rhapsody in Blue”. Gershwin’s love of exotic and beautiful places will be highlighted in “Cuban Overture” and “An American in Paris”. I’ve picked some of Gershwin’s most delectable songs; you'll swoon to “Someone to Watch Over Me”, “Embraceable You” and “The Man I Love”. You can arrive an hour before the concert starts to enjoy the coffee and wine and cakes, and you might be tempted to stay after the concert for a cozy supper of some delicious winter-warming soup. “The Best of GERSHWIN” is on Sunday June 17, at Noon and 5pm and again at Noon and 5pm on Sunday June 24. Vivaldi’s will open for coffee and bar service one hour before the concert, and will stay open to offer you lunch or supper for an hour after the concert.
