Over four action-packed days during the Easter holidays, professional tutors will introduce and lead participants into the thrill of performance through two workshops; one for 16 19 year olds and the other caters for children aged 13 15. For the 16 to 19 year olds this is a great opportunity to explore acting and performance for stage and screen. This fun workshop will focus on improvisation, storytelling, approaches to character and text, and ensemble work. It is ideal for those wanting to get a taste of acting, and for those wishing to hone their skills with experienced artists. This workshop is run by Louise Brehmer, an award-winning QUT acting graduate who has worked for Queensland Theatre Company, La Boite, Queensland Arts Council, and Zen Zen Zo Physical theatre, and deBASE productions, as well as on film and television. For the 13 to 15 year olds, the workshops are designed to unlock creativity and build confidence in a fun and informative way. It is ideal for beginners wanting to explore and enjoy acting and performance and for those who have had a little experience. These workshops are also a great way to meet new friends.
