Handwritten: Ten Centuries of Manuscript - Treasures from Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin (Berlin State Library) is a major international exhibition exclusive to Canberra. Delivered in association with the Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin, the exhibition spans more than 1,000 years and features manuscripts, letters, sketches and musical scores handwritten by major figures in history. Included are beautiful illuminated manuscripts, writings by Machiavelli, Galileo and Goethe, Mozart's Marriage of Figaro and a rare manuscript by Albert Einstein. The exhibition will form the centrepiece of a rich program of cultural activities, including a film series, musical performances, lectures, workshops and late night viewings.
