This February 18 Chinese Laundry welcomes back one of the most respected and revered DJs on the globe, internationally recognised as “The DJs DJ” and performing an unmissable 4 hour set in the cave—ANTHONY PAPPA! Launching his brand new Renaissance Compilation
Australian born, and based in the UK, Anthony Pappa is a true internationalist, with a self-imposed mission to share his music with people all around the world. And since gracing the cover of DJ Magazine in 2000 as part of the celebrated “Nu-Breed”, Anthony Pappa has taken his rightful place at the top table of DJ royalty.
Anthony Pappa’s stellar legacy is due to his un-paralleled mixing skills, set programming and the rare ability to adapt to whatever club environment he finds himself in. The man knows his way around a studio as well as a DJ booth, prompting DJ Pete Gooding to quip he’s “the best DJ, technically, I ever saw”. Anthony was the first man Global Underground turned to front up their Nu-Breed series, and several of Anthony’s mixes for Global and for Renaissance have clocked up100,000 in sales.
2010 through to this year has seen Anthony undergo a hectic touring schedule including over 100 performances in 2010 alone at various clubs and festivals over the globe. This was also the year Anthony was selected to mix the cover mount CD for DJ Mag’s coveted Top 100 DJ’s edition, which has received high praise from all the big hitters and industry professionals alike. With his gig diary looking larger than ever, Anthony Pappa is set and ready to take Laundry goers to house music heaven.
