The Drifters are an institution. Very few vocal groups have remained together for over 40 years and in an industry noted for it’s lack of consistency, The Drifters longevity is almost without parallel. The Drifters sound evolved from the groups that put close harmony to the songs of Tin Pan Alley, before and during the second World War. The Drifters provided the soundtrack for a generation, with more than a decade of successful record releases like classics “On Broadway”, “Save the Last Dance for Me” and “Saturday Night At The Movies”.
