Hinterlandt is a Sydney-based solo act playing long compositions encompassing raw energy, beautiful harmonies, complex rhythms, fragile ambiences, alarming noise, and silence. Using a number of instruments, this German-Australian one-man band covers a wide range of styles while carefully avoiding genre-hopping. Hinterlandt has taken on a variety of live formats, performing in places such as Helsinki, Sydney, London, Bangkok, Cologne, Rome, Amsterdam, Lisbon, Berlin, and many others. Furthermore, eleven studio albums were released on ten underground labels in five countries. Formed in 2005, Grün is a primarily instrumental, experimental rock band based in Sydney, Australia. The band is comprised of four members: founders Leon Kelly (guitar, keyboards) and Andre Matkovic (bass, programming), along with Ben Matson (drums) and Piers Twomey (guitar, keyboards). Grün's musical influences include Battles, Jesu, Philip Glass, Alcest, Mogwai, My Bloody Valentine, Sonic Youth, Boards of Canada, Swans – and the like. A German word (English translation: green), Grün were previously known as Greenland, but changed their name due to clashes with several overseas bands. Sydney's Piers Twomey matches a clear narrative with beautiful melodies, mysterious sounds and plenty of space. His baritone and falsetto vocals and his reflective lyrics inhabit the alternately tranquil, playful and dramatic music. Formed in 2009, SAAN is an improv trio consisting of brothers Drew and Chris Bourgeois and Novak Manojlovic. The trio attempt to utilise the various electronic and acoustic effects at their disposal to create an explainable synergy. They attempt to remove themselves from the music , allowing it to slowly develop in its most organic form. Time:8pm
