Kevin (Kat) Cattermole is Bakandji artist and a founding member of Wilcannia Arts. Kat tells his stories through a range of art media; painting, drawing, wood carving, sculpture, ceramics and printing. This his first exhibition is a suite of 6 linocut prints that draw their inspiration from a series of Story Poles carved by a group of artists from Wilcannia that depict symbols of the Bakandji country, culture and mythology. Each print tell a story as well as having an imposing decorative element. Gallery hours are: 10am - 5pm Monday to Sunday. Entry by gold coin donation. The Gallery is closed on: Good Friday, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
