This 2 hour tribute show is to celebrate the music of the First Ladies of Soul and will showcase the hits of
Randy Crawford, Gladys Knight, Aretha Franklin, Diana Ross, Etta James, Roberta Flack, Natalie Cole and Freda Payne.
Three sensational singers, Jo Elms, Kim Hart & Liza Ohlback, will be backed by a super band of some of Sydney’s finest musicians including:
Eric Rasmussen– guitar (Human Nature), Victor Rounds ( Marcia Hines), Brendan St.Ledger – keys (Wendy Matthews), Kimi Tupaea – drums (Barry Leef Band), Ross Middleton – Keys & Sax (Leo Sayer)
Sydney vocalist JO ELMS is back from London for 3 months only; due to popular demand and after the sell out success of the First Ladies of Soul shows in June 2011, she's decided to bring this fabulous show back to Sydney audiences. The show, consisting of well-known favourites, will be chock full of divine harmonies and the brilliant musicianship of the band. The audience can move along, groove along and sing along to all the classic songs of the First Ladies of Soul.
NOTES LIVE, 75 Enmore Road, Newtown Feb 11th 2012. Time 8pm. Tickets are $30+ bf for the show only. Dinner and show tickets are $55+bf- the food is fantastic!
