The Phoncurves are a Brisbane based duo who blend distinct new musical flavours with an aftertaste of pleasant nostalgia. With a wide range of influences from early blues, jazz, country, doo-wop, through to modern day folk and acapella their tunes toe the line between alternative folk and indie pop. With frocks and locks, their performances are fun, intimate and honest, welcoming audiences into the bubbly friendship the two share, while the music envelops you in a cocoon of colour and warmth. The Phoncurves self-titled debut EP, due out independently mid-2012 is an exploration of the pairs’ loves, doubts and close friendship.
