Gather the troops and join in for a weekend celebration of family food traditions. This celebration will be led by some of Melbourne’s best chefs and festival friends including the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation. Visit us at the new home of the Family Foodie Weekend at ArtPlay for two days of educational demonstrations and hands-on workshops concentrating on the food traditions celebrated by families for decades within their respective cultures. A range of free activities will take place over the weekend, from bread making, vegetable puppets, tasting bugs, chocolate tea parties and family picnics. Or treat your little foodies to one of our Hands-On Kids Classes presented by KitchenAid. At just $35.00 per child, kids will learn to cook yummy traditional family recipes from local chefs including Gary Mehigan and Elizabeth Chong.
