It's tough being a independent regional band. There is the tyranny of distance to travel to play shows, it's harder for a large population to find you and the band is seemingly given the extra burdenous title of 'regional band.' But it's a weight that Boyne Island natives Epidemic... Over have thrown on their back and brought for the ride. The beginning of 2012 is looking very bright indeed. They are beginning their 2012 with a number of announcements to make and some impressive shows to play just prior to releasing their awaited EP, Long Way Home, produced by ex-Melodyssey songwriter and guitarist, Clint Vincent. Late in 2011, Epidemic... Over inked a distribution deal with MGM Distribution, which will see them re-release their previous EP, Promise, into stores in February. To summarise - Epidemic... Over are kicking off the year with a headline show at The Hi-Fi in Brisbane, showcasing at Adelaide's FUSE Festival, releasing their brand new EP Long Way Home through MGM Distribution and re-releasing their previous EP, Promise. Oh, and signed up Birds of Tokyo's Adam Weston as their publicist!
