LIMELITE has been bringing the party to the people since 2007. Breaking new names, delivering buzz acts and fostering fresh talent week in week out. We’ve delivered, you’ve danced and we are going to punch our 5th birthday in the face with THE mother of all parties! Smashing it out at our sold out Australia Day show to 1500 beach party lovers LAIDBACK LUKE returns to LIMELITE to rock the bighouse.

Growing up with a love for guitars, graff, house and hip-hop, taking the ‘laid back’ tag from Snoop Dogg’s ‘Gin & Juice’. By 1996 he was releasing tracks, remixing for established artists and taking bookings like nobody’s business.

Now criss-crossing the globe for sell out shows and releasing bangers via his own Mixmash Records there is no stopping the Dutchman. His malleable house sound has seen him align with a range of labels, with upcoming releases on Dim Mak and Defected. Hell bent on “revolting against any musical stigma” what’s not to like?

Birthdays require more party so we added fellow countryman ROGERSEVENTYTWO to the bill. Making waves as half of TWR 72 the techno duo responsible for jams like “Future Tool,” a favourite of everyone from Erol Alkan to Diplo to A-Trak. And he’s no slouch in the solo department either, as his Fools Gold debut “You Take Me Higher” made some serious disco tsunamis.

All wrapped up and ready to be torn apart this is the best birthday present we could have wished for! LAIDBACK LUKE at the bighouse to celebrate 5 amazing years. Supported by our stable of resident DJs –Zelimir, Mel B and Jus Haus? Get down early, its going to be heaving!
