From BrisVegas to Paris, Queensland born Shay Stafford arrived in Paris with nothing more than a suitcase and a dream to grace France's famous stages in jewels and feathers. Within 24 hours of arriving she had an audition at the Moulin Rouge, had bared her breasts to the cabaret's Ballet Mistress and signed on the dotted line. So began her adventure as a Paris showgirl. During her 12 years in the City of Light, Shay became a lead performer at both the Moulin Rouge and the Lido de Paris on the Champs Elysees. The event will consist of: - A performance by Shay in full showgirl regalia backed up by the lovely ladies from Jaded Vanities - Shay talking about her book, Memoirs Of A Showgirl including a Q&A session. Copies of the book will be available to purchase on the night (courtesy of Better Read Than Dead). - An introduction to Shay's showgirl workshop which provides a unique peek behind the red curtain of Paris cabaret. A chance for all aspiring showgirls (and boys) to learn the walk, the moves and and the panache that the French Bluebells are renowned for.
