Coinciding with the 2012 Quicksilver Pro and the inaugural Bleach Festival of Surf Culture, Sons of Beaches features a surf documentary and installation that examines the development of surfing in the 1970s and the somewhat subversive culture which surrounds the period, as well as a look at this significant time in Australia’s living memory. Produced by Glenn Blight and Geoff Charters, the film features original footage from a 16mm surf film by Steve Core which was shown at the 1972 World Titles. Don’t miss your chance to experience this white hot period in Australian surfing history.
