Nominated for Jazz Ensemble of the Year at the 2011 Bell Awards, longtime collaborators Eugene Ball (trumpet), Ian Whitehurst (tenor saxophone), Joe Talia (drums) and Andrea Keller (piano) will be performing with members of Flinders String Quartet. This concert will feature music from 'Place', Keller's 60-minute work, which draws inspiration from the area surrounding Bermagui, NSW, and explores notions of identity and belonging. This concert will also feature new arrangements of other works for the strings.
