Marian Street Theatre for Young People presents two fairy tales full of magic and mystery for the Summer Holidays playing from 12 January to 3 March 2012.
SLEEPING BEAUTY tells the story of Princess Rose who pricks her finger on her 16th birthday and falls asleep for a hundred years. Finally a prince arrives with almost enough courage to rescue Rose. But he can’t do it by himself.
Come and help us tell the story. Become a wise woman to bless the princess at her christening. Draw your sword to protect the kingdom. Laugh while you help the kitchen staff prepare the food for the palace parties.
Then walk the seashore in our second story THE GOLDEN FISH with Peter, a poor fisherman, who takes pity on a glittering golden fish in his net. The magic fish grants Peter a wish in return for its life. What will he ask for? Isabel his wife keeps changing her mind, and wanting more. Be careful, Isabel!
We promise magic and mystery, and the excitement of overcoming danger with Sydney’s oldest children’s theatre. Join us on the journey!
