Bertie Page Clinic is pleased to present to the world a bouncing new baby girl, in the form of their debut album “Rock & Roll In A G-String”
...and the band has timed the Sydney album launch to coincide with one of the biggest parties of the year, Mardi Gras. Not only will they be playing live on a float during the parade, but the night before they’ll be pumping out their tunes at the Excelsior, along with a bevy of burlesque bab...es dragged all the way from the glittering lights of Brisvegas. Joined by the cream of Sydney’s rock scene, Virginia Killstyxx and Neon Heart, this will be one pre-Mardi Gras party to remember (if you can!). There’ll even be prizes for best dressed from Sydney’s alternative fashion masters Gallery Serpentine.
Bertie Page Clinic is the dirty cousin-love of burlesque and classic rock. The Clinic began in 2009 as an unholy union of seasoned old rockers and a cheeky burlesque nymph. Legends of rock Phill Wilson (Blowhard), Greg Jard (Blowhard) and Fred Noonan (SixFtHick) spotted Miss Bertie Page at a burlesque show and the band was formed. Quickly snapped up by Turkeyneck Records the band immediately hit the studio and began writing their first record. In no time this marriage of rock and burlesque had birthed a writhing brood of screaming brats in the form of nine songs that range from cheesy yacht rock through to balls out punk. “They’re like my strange little deformed children”, says Bertie of her tunes, “I call the big one Bitey.”
In a short time the Clinic have nabbed themselves a dedicated following off the back of their memorable live shows in their hometown Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide. They’ve also taken their unique sound to France, Berlin, Edinburgh Fringe Festival and London, and this August they’ll return for another European tour. They’ve shared stages with the likes of Spencer P. Jones (Beasts of Bourbon), Dallas Frasca, Rapskallion and Spitfireliar. Bertie has also been a guest performer on stage with international megastars Peaches and Monster Magnet.
For the hard work of touring she’s gathered a second posse of musicians, supple young creatures, yet untouched by the evils of tinnitus. Joining her are John Meyer and James Lees of pirate rockers The Good Ship, Kylie Lovejoy (Lovejoy, Jim Rockfords) and Clint Morrow (The Soundcasters). Bertie leads the charge with her hard belting vocals and sees that her stable of fine young things are kept in line.
Burly-rock has come into the world screaming and kicking. There will be tears before bedtime. View the newborns at:

“Bertie Page is a true vaudeville artiste. She dances, she sings she does ballads and burlesque, she does satire and slapstick and she looks very good whatever she does. She has more talent than inhibitions, and she never takes herself seriously which is why she is SERIOUSLY entertaining.”
Barry Humphries (a fan) 2010
“Oh my god, no one does classic style cabaret with the wit, style and talent that Miss. Bertie has unleashed on the world. She is a true comedian, burlesque performer, satirist, artist and showgirl...Expect to have your brain as well as your eyeballs tickled when Miss. Bertie takes to the helm.”
Rave Magazine October 2007
“Bertie Page Clinic is spangles and glam, punk and transvestite, stiletto heels sharp as scalpels, station wagons, lyricism, grand eloquence and infernal vocal exercises, a hot, guttural sound which could burn a hole in your crotch!”
Headsucker, Rennes, France 2010
