Formed in 1966, Tropicalia pioneers Os Mutantes were the voice of passive resistance for youth against Brazil's repressive military regime. Baffling the authorities with their outlandish antics, veiled lyrics and bombastic, infectious musicality, they inspired a generation with songs that combined a love of English rock, American psychedelic and traditional Brazilian music. Now, after 35 years, they've reunited to produce Haih Or Amortecedor and once again get audiences thinking, dancing and raising a clenched fist for the underdogs of the world.

Politicised musical theatre manifestos of a distant wild planet. SPIN
Os Mutantes are also touring nationally in March.
