The Aerial Maps are taking their acclaimed debut album "In The Blinding Sunlight", recorded under the tutelage of Simon Holmes and Simon Gibson, to its natural habitat ... on the road, and on the road along the eastern seaboard (always wanted to use that phrase in the right context) of Australia.
With praise such as "listening to Aerial Maps is like the feeling you got reading The Racketty Street Gang or Cloudstreet for the first time" and "The Aerial Maps offer a beguiling collection of literate, distinctly Australian narratives", among a bunch of other kind words, things are progressing nicely.
It's going to be a lot of fun, and the full band is in tow - Simon Holmes, Sean Kennedy, Tim Byron, AJ Johnsen and Lucy Lehmann. It's a veritable extravaganza of words and music and more words and music. And no doubt a few beers.
