This show is a celebration and a tribute, a chance to get together and farewell a very special member of Melbourne’s blues community. Kaye Frost or as she became known as “Sister Avalanche” on the PBS 106-7 FM weekly much loved show “Blues Avalanche”. Kaye was always there for our own home grown Blues artists and always featured Australian music on the show and in particular her love of female Blues singers was always evident. When Kaye took on the roll as Sister Avalanche very few woman dared tread along the pathway that had been the bastion of men. With the very sad passing of Kaye this is a chance to come together on the 15th October and celebrate our dear friend’s life with the music that was her life. We all extend out this invitation to all of the fans of Blues Avalanche to come and enjoy a great night of music and a few beers, and to come hear all of Kaye’s favorite local acts.
