There can only be progression if there is room for experimentation. It is important for music to be ever evolving and to be communicating to an audience thru a contemporary language. ‘Bastard’ is a celebration of experimental music and a first of its kind showcasing premier Australian experimental acts wide ranging in genres such as; experimental electronica, noise rock, free-form jazz, dj’s, noise-fusion to gypsy / Latin -experimental plus others yet to be named.  ‘Bastard’ will benefit the musical community as opportunities for both the listener and performer to experience this form of music all in one place under one banner to better familiarize themselves with the genre and give a venue for Brisbane experimental acts to come together.
