With Nick Oliveri bringing his band The Mondo Generator to Australia for the first time in August, Nick has decided to use his night off during the tour as a chance to play a solo acoustic show at Melbourne's Ding Dong Lounge. Nick's solo shows are a mix of songs he has written for both Mondo Generator and Queens Of The Stone Age as well as selected covers. Included on the tour EP which is being released to coincide with the bands tour are some of the tracks you can expect to hear. Nick churns out a solo version of the Johnny Thunders track 'You Can't Put Your Arms Around A Memory' and teams up with Mark Lanagen to play the track 'Autopilot' which he wrote during his time in Queens Of The Stone Age.

Following mainstream success with Queens of the Stone Age that included top ten albums and a Triple J Hottest 100 number one position here in Australia, Oliveri split with his Queens Of The Stone Age collaborator Josh Homme after an Australian tour in 2004. Since leaving, Nick has both toured and appeared on-stage with Brant Bjork, Motörhead, Winnebago Deal, Masters of Reality, The Dwarves, Mark Lanegan and Turbonegro.
