Description:
One of the greats of Australian jazz, drummer Allan Browne was forced into retirement by health problems a few years ago (shortly after receiving the Australia Council's prestigious Don Banks Fellowship). He recently resumed his career as a bandleader, and is making up for lost time winning an Inaugural National Jazz Award and releasing a CD of his collected works, as well as a CD of new material. Ths week he is joined by pianist Marc Hannaford and bassist Sam Anning.
