Melbourne outfit The Sticks have changed their name. They are now called Kitchen Knife Wife. Along with the name change, the exciting 60’s tinged melodic rock they were renowned for has undergone some changes as well. The recruitment of keys genius James (last name?) and an engine room overhaul in the form of inventive skin thumper and vocalist Dave Mudie sees the now quartet cast afloat in a much deeper pool of collective influence, riding waves of rock ‘n’ roll, disco, honky tonk and electro, swimming headlong into choppy wake from the likes of Supertramp, Radiohead, David Bowie and Mary Poppins.
