Circle Album Launch Tour
Circle
Circle @ Empress Hotel
16 May 2008
Tour Name:
Circle Album Launch Tour
Supporting Artist(s):
N/A
Description:
Going under the moniker Opanoni for the best of 3 years, Sydney songsmith Radi Safi returns, backed by a solid line up and a brand new identity in the form of local folk, Circle. With help from J Walker (Machine Translations) on the mixing desk and none other than indie legend, Tom Kazas (The Moffs) co-producing the opening track, New Holidays, Radi is one well-connected dude. Whilst undeniable comparisons have been made to the likes of Ben Folds with a quirky, other-worldly edge, Circle have forged their own unique sound in the Australian music scene.
With the new album, JUST KEEP SWIMMING hitting shelves on May 17 the band will launch their album on the afternoon of the MCA’s very first ZINE FAIR. With Tania Safi, Radi’s sister designing all the cover art and having her very own zine, their appearance could not be more fitting.
Get down on Sunday the 25th May from 11am-6pm at the MCA Foundation Hall (ground floor) to check out the event and support your local artistic community. Circle will play at 5pm to finish off the day. Entry is free, however we’d love you and your reviewers to come down and celebrate the launch!
In addition to their upcoming ALBUM RELEASE and ALBUM LAUNCH, Circle have launched their ‘A Song A Week Until We’re Famous’ project, whereby the band will write, record and release a new single every Sunday evening on their myspace page. International graphic designers have approached the band to design covers and images for each release.
