The JP Brigade @ Wesley Anne
17 May 2008

Date:
Sat 4:30PM, 17 May 2008
Description:
The J.P. BRIGADE so far. . . are primarily a songwriting duo, involving Patrick Bruce & Joseph McGuigan. Their origins hail from being kicked out of dingy Melbourne bars and singing old-school punk & traditional Irish ballads, whilst stumbling their way though the cold city streets… Patrick, aged mid-30s, surfaced from a strong, passionate Labour-troubadour background -- with a shoebox full of poems & songs, which soon came to document the daze through which he and Joseph stumbled. Joseph, meanwhile, aged 27, who cut more than his teeth writing in a group called Ground Components, is now attempting to give his vocal-chords somewhat less of a thrashing. . .

Rock, Punk and Folk
