Description:

Architecture in Helsinki are more than a little excited to announce that Spanish psychedelicist El Guincho will be joining them on the Like It Or Not tour, their first and final Australian shows for 2008.

Taking cues from afrobeat, calypso, tropicalia, trance and doo wop El Guincho creates an undefinable mélange of joyous, danceable pop. His mind expanding debut album Alegranza has just been released locally on Mistletone and is soon to be released on XL in the UK and USA. His live shows have been called “amazonic rave” and are a one man mishmash of percussion, vocals, a floor tom and a whole bunch of samples.

El Guincho is bound to be the perfect complement to the expectation-confounding and frenetically entertaining experience that is a live Architecture in Helsinki show.

The Like It Or Not tour celebrates the final single to be released from Architecture in Helsinki’s world conquering third album Places Like This. Ticket price includes limited edition copy of the Like It Or Not single, which comes with a swag of exclusive b-sides.

Pop, Rock, Indie/Alternative, Electro and Techno

The Brewery is the worse place in Newcastle to see a gig. From where I was standing i had a view of the top of the band's heads and a staircase. The free CD was good though...

They were awesome when they were a twee-pop collective playing to 50 people at the Kirk. Now? Lame trash for the electro set
