Often described as a grown up Dennis the Menace, American wild child stand up comedian Eddie Ifft returns to the Comedy Store Sydney for a two week season, May 13 to 24, direct from sell out shows at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

Eddie Ifft became a stand up comedian almost accidentally. Ifft went from a dropout from grade school, junior school, high school, and college, to a Political Science graduate and intern to a Washington DC Senator. Quitting that, Ifft worked for his father’s insurance firm until having a drink one night after work, Ifft began comedy with an impressive debut in an amateur open mic stand up performance. The following day, Ifft quit his insurance job to pursue comedy.

Now, Ifft is a touring comedian working with the likes of Jerry Seinfeld, Dave Chapelle, Chris Rock, Robin Williams, Dane Cook and Andy Dick; has appeared on Last Comic Standing, Jerry Seinfeld documentary Comedian, and on Australian TV has appeared on Rove Live, The Glasshouse and Thank God You’re Here, and 2007 Ifft filmed a comedy DVD to a sold out crowd at the Sydney Opera House.
