Description:
In ‘Mt Feathertop’, Chris Humphries documents his journeys, trekking through the Victorian Alps. Graphic, precision painted scenes question traditional sea and sand notions of the Australian landscape and celebrate the beauty of the Victorian high country. In contrast to the jarring images of tourist postcards, Humphries’ visual commentaries are a product of an informed and perceptive imagination.
