Chris Rock, America’s funniest man, is heading to Australia to perform LIVE, for the very first time, on the critically acclaimed NO APOLOGIES tour.
Rock has been hailed internationally as one of stand-up comedy’s heavyweights. His NO APOLOGIES tour will see him perform dates in Sydney on August 4 and 5 at the State Theatre and in Melbourne on August 10 and 11 at The Arts Centre - Hamer Hall.
The NO APOLOGIES tour, Rock’s first stand-up tour in over three years (his first for Australia), commenced on New Year’s eve at New York City’s Madison Square Garden and is currently touring the US. This tour will see Rock perform overseas for the very first time with dates scheduled in the UK, Australia and South Africa.
Lauded by awards and critics alike, Rock is one of our generation’s strongest comedic voices. The Brooklyn-raised comedian has garnered three Emmys Awards, three Grammy Awards and countless others during his highly successful career to date.
Rock’s television and film career success in the US is unparalleled and has seen him receive critical acclaim and multiple awards with his hit TV series, legendary specials and films. Rock was recently heard as the voice of Mooseblood the Mosquito in Jerry Seinfeld’s animated BEE MOVIE. Last year, he also starred in Fox Searchlight‘s film I THINK I LOVE MY WIFE, which he also wrote and directed. Rock made his directorial debut with HEAD OF STATE, which opened number one at the US box office.
