Description:

Multi-Platinum selling Texas modern rockers DROWNING POOL will be rescheduling their much anticipated Australian dates while lead vocalist Ryan McCombs gets some vocal rest as prescribed by his doctors. McCombs has been assured that his "strained vocal chords" will heal completely with time and rest. The band are supporting their CD Full Circle and the hit single, "Enemy."

"We look forward to coming to Australia and are sorry for any inconvenience our postponing the trip causes our fans. Hopefully, the new dates will allow us to spend more time down there so that we really get to see and experience everything," says lead vocalist McCombs.

For Texan modern rockers Drowning Pool, their third album, Full Circle, (featuring the hits, ‘Soldiers’ and ‘Enemy’) represents a chance to continue to build on their success. With a new singer in old friend, ex SOiL vocalist Ryan McCombs replacing the late great Dave Williams, who passed away from a rare heart disease in 2002, the guys continue with the same fiery commitment to their music and one another.

Drowning Pool, rounded out by guitarist C.J. Pierce, bassist Stevie Benton and drummer Mike Luce feel the addition of McCombs has made them whole again, a family. It was something the band’s fans, and the band itself had been aiming for since Williams’ death. With the odds stacked up against them, Drowning Pool has proven that they are here to stay.

In 2008, the boys will return to rock Australia for the first time since their debut tour in 2002 on the Big Day Out. A tour that sticks in the minds of many people as one of the major highlights of any BDO. The bands on stage energy and off stage persona’s made them an instant favourite within the BDO touring party and their legions of Aussie fans who have stuck with their band during their hard times since.

The highlight of their 02 tour was their performance on the Channel V bus in Mt Gambier, South Australia, never before had such an event come to the town. The gig was legendary….with nearly all of their monstrous debut album, ‘Sinner’ getting a thorough work out.

Drowning Pool will be joined by their good friends Puddle Of Mudd who have had massive success with songs such as ‘Control’ and ‘’Away From Me’ plus songs from their latest album, ‘Famous’

Let the Bodies Hit the Floor…..this will be fun.
