Description:

“Miller-Heidke's punishing vocal prowess is the impetus of the gutsiest show in Australian music at the moment. There is nothing contrived here; just a cathartic release of punk opera – stunning, fine and porcelain-fragile meets pummelling, bruising rock & roll.” -Mike Gribble ¬– Adelaide Advertiser Adelaide Fringe Festival LIVE REVIEW 28/2/08

It’s reviews like the one above that have seen Kate Miller-Heidke become one of the most talked about performers in Australian music today. Her Gold-selling debut album 'Little Eve' - featuring the singles “Words”, “Make it Last” and now the stunningly beautiful “Space They Cannot Touch” - entered the ARIA charts at #11 in June ‘07 and earned Kate five ARIA Award nominations.

A staggering 2007 saw The Kate Miller-Heidke Band: Keir Nuttal (Guitars), Ben McCarthy (Bass, Vocals), Steve Pope (Drums), and introducing Dirty Lucy’s Nicole Brophy (Backing Vocals, Acoustic Guitar) – sell-out and set venue attendance records right across Australia. Now, The Kate Miller-Heidke Band has just announced they will be touring the country through April and May for the ‘Space They Cannot Touch’ National Tour. This tour will be the final chance to catch Kate and her band live before they return to the studio to record the follow-up to ‘Little Eve’.

From mainstream media to independent bloggers, 'Little Eve' topped numerous ‘Best Release’s Of 2007’ lists Australia-wide at the end of last year. 2008 has already seen Kate and co. travel from coast to coast, with performances at the Adelaide Fringe Festival, Brisbane’s Big Gay Day, and a four-date stay in Perth that saw the band support Cyndi Lauper. It’s this relentless touring schedule, coupled with her phenomenal debut album, that continues to sees Kate discovered by more & more music fans by the day.
