Melbourne rockers British India are busy recording their new album in Sydney, yet still have time to launch their new single ‘Teenage Mother’ on weekends.
It’s been an incredible year for the Melbourne band. Since the release of their triple j featured and J Award nominated debut album Guillotine in June 2007, British India have sold out numerous national tours, and recently won the 2007 AIR Award for Best New Independent Artist.
To celebrate a stellar year Melbourne rockers British India have repackaged their critically acclaimed debut album with a limited edition bonus live tour DVD, which features ‘Teenage Mother’ the latest and final single from Guillotine.
Produced by the legendary Harry Vanda and Glenn Goldsmith at Flashpoint Studios, Guillotine features hit singles ‘Tie Up My Hands’, ‘Black & White Radio’, ‘Russian Roulette’ and ‘Run The Red Light’, while the bonus DVD contains four songs filmed live at The Metro in Sydney, three video clips, and some cheeky interludes from the band.
British India spent the summer playing Homebake, The Pyramid Rock Festival, and kicked off the year touring nationally with Big Day Out. 2008 is set to be an even bigger year for the band with a new album, and an overseas trip in the works.
