Founded in 1881, the Gallery is housed in a beautiful historic building, that opened in 1900, on Adelaide’s cultural boulevard, North Terrace. With the growth of the collections the building has expanded considerably since 1900, with major extensions in 1936, 1962 and, most recently, in 1996.
